Who Am I?

Hello!  I am Cristina, a photographer
specializing in photographing love, marriage, and babies.  The whole bit.  A little thing we call life.

I LOVE  what I do.                       LOVE what I do.

I tear up at every wedding I shoot (just a teeny bit) because I am madly, deeply in love with weddings and what they represent.

I have two beautiful girls who are the center of my universe and totally rock my world. Yes, I photograph them often.

I have a husband who not only supports me and my crazy endevors, but completely encourages me to have them in the first place.  For his support, I am beyond thankful.

I grew up watching black and white movies.

For six years I lived near the beaches of California and it changed my life.

I am blessed. by. God.         Immensly.

And I am completely honored that you've stopped by to have a small look at life through my lens.  I do hope enjoy it and stop by often.

Baby Sophia (and why it’ll be hard to say goodbye)

I didn’t expect to feel as sad as I did when I heard the news that this family would soon be moving. I get close to my clients, but to be honest, I have photographed this family (in particular, the girls) so many times that, in my mind, it was a lifetime honor. I would be there, in some way or another, to photograph the girls as young ladies. I mean, I can see them growing just as fast as my girls are and, in my mind, I can honestly picture them 10 years from now. I really can. It’ll be here before I know it.

Yes, it’s cliché, but time goes by so quickly. The first time I met Baby Sophia’s older sister, she was 3 months old. That still boggles my mind. That is the part of my job that I love. When I meet a newborn, I’m there for the moment and I don’t think beyond that day. Until it becomes a second session and maybe a third…and the next you know…it’s just crazy. Crazy and yet, such an honor for me. It really is. So, even if they go, I will have to make it a point to photograph them someday in the future. For old times sake and to have the inner joy of being able to say to them “I’ve known you since you were in diapers and what a wonderful young woman you are.”
