I had such a hard time deciding what to blog. So… before I overthink this, too… I’ll leave you with a few of many images from this wedding that I love.

Erica + Todd = Coming Soon

There was a moment at Traci and Justin’s wedding where my eyes watered and I hid behind my camera to ensure I wasn’t seen. It didn’t happen at the father/daughter dance or the vows or during the toast. No, it happened in the last hour of the night when everyone was happy and dancing and having a good time. You see… Traci and Justin’s wedding was gorgeous all the way around. The day…the colors…the clouds…the couple… it was all beautiful. But when I woke up that morning, I wasn’t sure if I’d even make it through the first few hours.
The morning of their wedding, I woke up and took myself to the doctor and was diagnosed with bronchitis, tonsillitis, and a sinus infection. I felt horrible like I’ve never felt before. I was given an injection with medication and prayed for strength and clarity as I braced myself for a 16 hour day. There was no way I was going to miss the wedding, but I did fear I couldn’t function the way I needed to. That’s when, at the end of the night, it hit me that I had made it. God had been faithful and allowed me the opportunity to witness and photograph such joy and happiness.
And in that moment, I may have still had a fever, but I seriously felt like a million bucks.

Well, it’s the middle of wedding season for us here in the desert. I’ll be blogging sporadically during this crazy time of the year. Yes, it’ll be a little of this and a little of that…and perhaps in no particular order, really. I can’t wait to blog this entire wedding. I have a lot to say about it and many images that go in my {I-so-love-this-image} collection. It may come after a few more blog posts, but here’s a little teaser for now.

It isn’t often that a couple asks to be photographed in the busiest part of downtown in order that people… strangers… can be seen in some of their wedding photographs.
Nope. That doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it makes happy.
